* Hirasawa Energy Works is a brand new project performed by Susumu Hirasawa, a Japanese techno musician. He will be producing electricity for all parts of the project with a solar powered system. The energy is being used for composing, recording and even holding the concerts.

* Generally, a live concert in a concert hall of medium size which has the capacity of 2,000-2,500 spends approximately 100KW electric power per hour. Consuming the energy for 6 hours (including the rehearsal and concert) means nearly 100 kg CO2 are emitted from the power station. Hirasawa Energy Works is aiming for zero CO2 emission with a very simple and small alternative energy system. Is this really possible? The volume is too low, isn't it? The concert would be finished in a few minutes, wouldn't it? No, it wouldn't. Hirasawa Energy Works is full of daring ideas. We will work out every problem of the project with many brand new ideas.
 
* The point of Hirasawa Energy Works is to get a different angle on fixed ideas. Our new ideas will change even the negative images of economising, saving and persevering. We can describe Hirasawa Energy Works as a picnic on the energy field which is already prepared by nature. Because of this, we don't like to use the words "environmental protection" or "be gentle with the Earth", because while the Earth protects us, we don't protect the earth. Hirasawa Energy Works is an exciting opportunity for us to access earth, the protector.
 
* Hirasawa Energy Works will fully air the entire processes from how to install the alternative energy system (mainly solar batteries), to scenes of composing, recording and performing the live concert. We will also try to stream the live concert on the Internet. And of course, all the power for the project will be supplied by the Hirasawa Energy Works generator. And before the live concert, we will perform an event called 'Energy Hunting' that will ask you to collect some energy for the concert!
